What’s in a chargebee executive dashboard?

An executive dashboard is the single governed view of the whole business: revenue, pipeline, retention, and margin, reconciled across billing, CRM, and accounting. For Chargebee users, ARR is derived from subscription objects, retention from invoice and credit note activity, and revenue from transactions, so each metric traces to a Chargebee record.

Chargebee's built-in reporting covers subscriptions and invoices but stops at the billing boundary. Pipeline lives in your CRM, margin in your accounting system, and retention depends on how you count credit notes and downgrades. When all four numbers come from one set of governed definitions, the board deck is evidence, not a patchwork of exports.

Here's your chargebee executive dashboard, on your Chargebee, Quickbooks, Salesforce and Stripe data.
Here’s what’s in it

The top row leads with the 4 numbers that matter most: ARR, Pipeline coverage, Net revenue retention, Gross margin. Each shows a delta versus the prior period so you can see direction at a glance. Below that, 2 trend charts (ARR over time, Net revenue retention trend) show how the headline numbers have moved over time. A breakdown (Revenue by product) splits the metric by dimension so you can see what's driving the total. A detail table (Business health) rounds it out with the secondary metrics and their deltas. Every number is computed from the exact formulas shown in the metric table below. Composites are derived from their components, not pasted in, so the KPI tiles, breakdowns, and totals all reconcile to each other.

§ Why the numbers tie out

Every metric traces back to your systems

This is the part a BI tool can’t fake. Each metric is defined once, in your warehouse, from a specific object in a specific source. Change the definition in one place and every tile, report, and answer moves with it. So the number on the screen is the number in the source.

§ Then do something about it

Have our agent watch for you

A chargebee executive dashboard tells you what happened, and Fi tells you why. The last step is not having to remember to check. Point Definite at the one number you can’t afford to miss, and it watches that number for you off the same definitions as your dashboard. When it moves, you hear about it before the next review instead of during it. One metric, one action, always reversible.

§ FAQ

Common questions

Chargebee's MRR calculation applies its own proration and credit-note logic, which can differ from a warehouse-modeled ARR that normalizes subscription start dates and treats credit notes as contraction. The reconciliation map shows which Chargebee objects feed each metric, so you can trace the difference to a specific invoice or credit note.
Chargebee for subscriptions, invoices, credit notes, and transactions. Salesforce for pipeline and deals. QuickBooks for margin and expenses. Stripe is optional if Chargebee routes payments through it. Definite syncs and models all of them, then reconciles across sources.
It is a live ECharts dashboard running on a deterministic synthetic dataset, labeled illustrative. ARR is computed from MRR, NRR from the retention formula, each by the metric table. Connect your Chargebee account and Fi builds the same view from your data.
Tell Fi what you need, the way the prompt above reads. Fi connects Chargebee, Salesforce, and QuickBooks, proposes the executive metrics, and you refine by asking follow-ups. The first version ships without a slide deck assembly.
Yes. Chargebee's usage metering objects sync into Definite alongside subscriptions and invoices. Fi can break ARR into recurring and metered components so the board sees both.
