Available SaasOptics Data

Connects to SaaSOptics (now Maxio) to extract finance and subscription management data: customers, contracts, items, transactions, invoices (with line items), revenue schedules, sales orders, payment terms, registers, and related reference data. This enables analysis of ARR/MRR, billings and collections, revenue recognition, renewals and churn, and operational financial reporting.

Customer

Represents the accounts you bill and serve; enables segmentation, cohort retention, account health, and ARR/MRR by customer analyses.

Contract

Represents subscription agreements and terms governing renewals and amendments; supports ARR/MRR, renewal and churn analysis, and subscription lifecycle reporting.

Transaction (Contract Line Item)

Line-level commitments within contracts including quantities, rates, and dates; drives bookings, MRR/ARR calculations, expansions/contractions, and pricing analysis.

Item (Product/Service)

Product catalog defining how offerings are billed and recognized; enables revenue and billings by product, pricing strategy, and rev rec policy analysis.

Invoice

Billing documents with amounts and line items used for billings, collections, and AR; supports cash forecasting, AR aging, and DSO metrics.

Revenue Recognition Entry

Scheduled revenue postings over time tied to transactions/items; powers revenue waterfall, period revenue, and deferred revenue roll-forward reporting.

Sales Order

Sales order headers and details prior to invoicing; supports bookings, backlog, and order-to-cash pipeline analysis.

General Ledger Account

Chart of accounts references for mapping revenue, AR, and other postings; enables financial statement alignment and GL-based reporting.

Entity/Register

Accounting entities with currency and AR account settings; supports multi-entity consolidations, currency reporting, and AR attribution.

Authentication Required

Uses an API token you provide, sent in the Authorization header to authenticate

SaasOptics usersDefinite

People love Definite because it lets you focus on what matters. Setting up your own data infrastructure doesn't make your beer taste better. Skip the tedium and start at analytics.

I was leading the efforts of setting up a business intelligence function. I was surprised how complex this all was to do even today. It's something that every tech company would need at some point but it hasn't been simplified. You need a whole team focused on building a data warehouse, setting up the right pipelines, and then integrating a BI tool on top.Definite wasn't only the answer to this problem, it tackled the next problem I knew I'd have as soon as the BI tool was ready — how do we get non-technical teams and people to learn and utilise such a tool.

Our analytics before Definite consisted of dozens of Excel sheets that took hours to update. Manual updates led to errors. Everyone questioned the accuracy of the numbers. Many people just stopped looking at the reports. After Definite, everything ran like clockwork. We immediately saved thousands of dollars per month in the time spent updating reports and have built strategies (e.g. improved ROI on ad spend, inventory management, etc.) on the data that will yield millions to our bottom line.
