# Definite

> Definite is an all-in-one analytics platform: 500+ data connectors, a DuckDB and DuckLake lakehouse, BI dashboards, a semantic layer, and Fi, an AI data analyst, in one product. The whole stack is self-hostable: it deploys into your own cloud account (BYOC) or on-prem, including the AI analyst, so your data never leaves your environment.

A self-hostable data stack is an analytics platform where storage, compute, and the control plane (including the AI analyst) all run inside the customer's environment, cloud or on-prem. A private AI data analyst is an AI agent that queries, models, and explains business data while running entirely inside that environment, calling a model endpoint the customer controls (Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex, or self-hosted open-weights models).
